a wonderful blend of influences: Rolling Stones, Eagles (for the hermonies), LLoyd Cole, Badfinger etc. IMHO they (along with Crowded House and XTC) were probably better than Oasis, Blur, et. Del Amitri were a wonderful band and if you like them you need to hunt out their B-Sides as well (assuming you haven't already) as they are, pretty much without exception as good or better than the albums they were left out of, that's particularly true with the Twisted B-Sides which are straight out brilliant. Personally I hope it does because I find Currie's solo stuff a bit too maudlin. Who knows whether it will come out or if it does under what name it will appear. The Definitive Del Amitri Rarities.I think they're without a deal - I'm not sure whether Del Amitri still exists as such but I know that a year or two ago Currie was working on an album with Iain Harvie (or whoever the other mainstay from the band was).
