Thought I'd post some pics during the process, before, during, after type stuff. All this will give it the look of the gun I put together on the Crosman site, hope it performs well. Stuff I picked up in addition to the 2240: Crosman long steel breech, RB sportsman grips Cocobolo high gloss, 10.3" 1322 barrel, Boss valve, Crosman power adjuster, silver trigger shoe/muzzle brake/barrel band, stainless steel tear drop bolt lever/bolt, UTG bug buster scope. Lots of options out there for the 2240, makes it pretty easy to spend money! Any suggestions on what to do while the pistol is torn down are much appreciated (this is also the first CO2 gun I've ever owned). This will be a first for me as far as tearing down a gun and doing any internal mods. Purchased a 2240 (not off Crosman's site) and many upgrades to do myself. I do own air rifles considered firearms by state standards and although I have a FOID card, I was not going to pay the $50 transfer fee on a CO2 pistol I shouldn't have to pay the fee on. Didn't hear back and I do respect any companies right not to sell anywhere they don't want to, just hope their policy changes in the future, if in deed that is their policy. 18 diameter AND over 750 fps, making any gun that fires under 750 fps no matter what caliber not a firearm). Emailed Crosman about Illinois changing it's definition of a firearm last year (used to be any gun using powder or air to fire a projectile over. Entered my address, won't ship to Illinois. After much time on Crosman's Custom Shop site and trying to piece together a 2300 I would've loved to have bought, I ran into problems at the check out stage.
